2009 – year of the mobile advertising? Most likely

mobile_ad3124

MHT published its forecast to 2009, according to which that will be the year where the mobile ad concept will become more and more mainstream, both with advertisers and publishers. If the numbers are true, they’re definitely whopping, here’s a quote:

“Analysts also remain positive on the mobile advertising industry. In a report from Gartner Inc., earlier this year, the analyst firm projected $2.7 billion in worldwide mobile advertising sales in 2008, and $12.8 billion by 2011, up from $1.7 billion in 2007”.

The main idea is now to find an enticing way to make both content publishers and ad firms to grasp that potential. MobileNOBO sees in the video content THE platform to monetize both web and WAP traffic into effective advertising consumers. This in light of the ever increasing mobile video consumption of high valued consumer profiles. Our solution can allow website owners to use this exciting new platform for extra ad selling, while allowing their users to enjoy this innovative way of watching, accessing and sharing their videos.

How does it work? The same as it does on the net: the users download the video from the web / access it from their mobile, and before watching the actual clip, they watch a short ad clip. The advertisers pay the website owner and thus exempt the user from paying to get his content.

Our new year’s resolution is therefore to strive and make both ad firms and content publishers start realizing what we already know and do best. Happy and succesful new year to all!
